The bossa nova movement has its roots in love, beauty, happiness and in the nostalgia of all this.
This is the starting point of my work: joining the nostalgia of happy moments with the certainty of an endless happiness.
I do not believe that the artist should only be a spokesman. An artist\\\'s first artwork should be himself. We can lead our lives in an intense way, like Vinicius sang to Brasil and to the whole world, and in a straight way at the same time. We can use creativity to renew ourselves constantly, keeping our deepest root.
In one of his best lyrics, Vinicius wrote: “It is better to live than being happy”. I agree with whom changed this sentence into: “It is better to live and to be happy”.
